BRITAIN: BEST IN THE WORLD ON AND OFF TRACK

Britain is the world centre of motorsport, and this year its companies produced a Formula One World Champion in Jenson Button and the constructors` winner in Brawn GP. They are just two of the winners from a £6billion industry, of which £3.6billion is exported.*

But it`s not just driving and engineering where Britain excels. A prime example of British motorsport talent was evident at the final Grand Prix of the season in Abu Dhabi, where more than 350 British marshals, often regarded as the best in the world, were in attendance.

If you are interested in marshalling, looking for a career in motorsport, or a huge race fan, the Autosport International show, held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham on 14-17 January 2010 provides a one-stop-shop for all your motorsport needs.

If you want to be the next Jenson Button, why not test your driving skills on the karting track or see him in person on the Autosport Stage. If you are into machinery, get up-close to all the cars from the 2009 Formula One season on the "F1 Racing" grid, or find out more about mechanical engineering by visiting the Trade and Technical Area.

If you are looking for driving thrills, the Caterham drive experience allows visitors to sample the thrill of speed, with an acceleration of 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds or to witness true, live-action, record-breaking stunts and spectacular four-wheeled demonstrations - the Live Action Arena will not disappoint.

Whatever your interest, the show has everything under one roof for any motorsport enthusiast: from karting to rallying, from touring cars through to F1, every sector is represented.

"Autosport International is a show which celebrates everything related to motorsport, from purchasing racewear, seeking out memorabilia, and meeting your favourite driver, to experiencing thrills first-hand. Whether you`re seven or 70, there is something which everyone can enjoy and interact with," said Autosport International Show Director Ian France.
