PITRUNNER FOR EUROPEAN LAUNCH AT AUTOSPORT ENGINEERING

CES (Europe) Ltd. will be a new name with a new product at January`s Autosport Engineering Show.

The 2010 event, held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, will see the European launch of the company`s new self-contained air jack and wheel gun system, named `Pitrunner`.

Full details are yet to be released, but examples will soon be sent to Formula One, Le Mans Series and FIA GT teams for testing. CES Founder, Tony Giles, believes that the system will overcome the work impediments to mechanics and drivers which hanging assemblies in pit lanes can cause. Being self-contained and lightweight, it will also be easy to transport.

Pit lane equipment is just one of three product groups offered by CES. It was initially established to sell extraction systems for composite, solvent, fume and vehicle exhausts, as well as welding products. The latter gave Giles access to race teams, which led him to notice a lack of bespoke items in the pit lane.

As a result, the company went on to manufacture pit lane cylinder trolleys and ancillary items. More trolley designs are on the way and will also be displayed at Autosport Engineering. CES is particularly proud of the interchangeable and hand-tight nature of these products. As the name suggests, the company`s hand-tight stems have been designed for tightening by hand only, to any size or type of cylinder up to 300 bar, without the need for spanners or the danger of over tightening.

Also being shown at Autosport Engineering will be the company`s new, high-flow wheel gun regulators, which are currently being tested by two Formula One teams. "We do business when we are there and we do business directly after the show. It is a superb exhibition for selling our products," said Giles.

In addition to changing its name this year, CES has also moved into new premises in the Oxfordshire town of Banbury. The changes reflect the worldwide growth of the company`s customer base. With a major overseas attendance a feature of Autosport Engineering, Giles is again sure to find plenty of new business at the NEC this January. "I`ve done a lot of exhibitions, but this one is the best," he added.

"The rules in motor racing are changing on a regular basis and it is important to keep on top of them. CES is one of those companies introducing new products to meet the demands made by new regulations. The best way to keep in touch with developments like these is to attend Autosport Engineering," said Autosport International Show Director Ian France.
