AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL: LEADING THE REVOLUTION Plasma spray coating specialist Zircotec plans to display examples of the first-ever flexible ceramic heat shield material at Europe`s largest motorsport show, Autosport International, which takes place at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, on 14-17 January 2010. The coated foil product, Zircoflex, is set to revolutionise the use of ceramic materials for heat protection in a wide range of automotive, aerospace and industrial applications.Zircotec`s high-temperature, plasma-sprayed ceramic coatings provide lightweight, easily-packaged and highly durable thermal barriers, suitable for a wide range of aggressive environments. The technology was originally developed for the British nuclear industry and has been widely adopted across a range of motorsport series, including Formula One. Zircotec sales director, Peter Whyman, commented on the company`s plans for Autosport International: "The 2009 Autosport International Show was so good that we signed up straight away for 2010," he said. "The show enables us to present our latest ceramic thermal barriers, not only to motorsport customers, but also vehicle manufacturers and other industrial applications, and it is an ideal arena to meet our customers face-to-face. We will be showing our new flexible coatings, together with some novel applications, at the 2010 show." Haymarket Exhibitions Show Director Ian France added: "Zircotec`s product range is demonstrative of the broad marketing reach of Autosport International. The show offers exceptional networking opportunities for businesses which operate outside the motorsport industry as well as from within, as many of our exhibitors have discovered. We are confident that Zircotec will find next year`s show to be every bit as helpful as this year`s." Other exhibitors which cross industry boundaries include Reverie Ltd, which covers the construction, home and marine sectors, and Allegheny Technologies Ltd, which spans aerospace, medical and electrical energy.
