"Action behind the wheel, luxury each night": that`s the motto of the "Classic". Since its creation in 1993, the organisers have spared no effort and the continued success of the MAROC CLASSIC suggests that they have got it right. The 2010 event will surely match the quality of its predecessors.

It is true that few organisers have our unique advantages. Starting with the magic of Morocco, an ideal playground for lovers of old and modern sports and thoroughbred cars, those who enjoy on-road driving, thanks to the extraordinary variety of landscape and sites.

The 2,330-km route for this 17th edition will take participants - via seven
legs and 19 regularity tests - from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the depths of the desert, via the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains; From Casablanca to Marrakech via Essaouira, Agadir, Tata, Ouarzazate, Erfoud, Imilchil, and Bin El Ouidane, the "Road of the Heart" is not only carefully chosen: it is a paradise for the pleasure of your eyes!

None of this would be possible without the assistance of authorities of the Kingdom, especially the Gendarmerie, who work so hard and so skillfully to ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of our participants.

The overnight halts have been selected with great care to ensure relaxation and comfort in the very best institutions across the country, including La Mamounia in Marrakech, the mythic palace restored three years ago by designer and architect Jacques Garcia.

Open to cars built between 1930 and 1983 for "Classic" and from 1984 for "Prestige", the MAROC CLASSIC - chaired by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid -  leaves Casablanca on Sunday 14 March and arrives in Marrakech on Saturday 20 March 2010.

The "classic" has its faithful followers: witness the 70% retention rate. Even before the opening of entries, 15 crews had already indicated their intention to be among the 55 crews allowed to start! The first closing date for "preferred" entries is on 15 September.

All the ingredients are there for you to enjoy another great "Classic" in 2010.

** The MAROC CLASSIC is a supporter of Happy Hour, a benevolent association recognized by the government . . .hence the subtitle "The Road of the Heart." After ten years of partnership, almost five million Dirhams have been collected from participants and sponsors in the rally, all invested in humanitarian projects to benefit families and children, mainly in the Third World.
