NEW & OLD FROM MOTOR SPORT MAGAZINE Motor Sport has made its first video podcast, about the Nurburgring 24 Hours. The video is the first in a new series looking at motor racing events in an interesting and fun way. To see what the team got up to, go to: www.motorsportmagazine.co.uk/2009/06/02/video-podcast-Ð-the-nurburgring-24-hours/.The July issue of Motor Sportis in the shops now and - as always - Nigel Roebuck tackles the current issues in Formula 1 head on, reminding us what Bernie Ecclestone said about F1: "The size of the field doesn`t bother me at all. It`s much better for us to have a smaller, better grid, than have a lot of w*****s. We`re in the quality business, not quantity." The issue also includes an interview with Sally Swart, the love of Jim Clark`s life. Few people could claim to really know this quiet hero, and in a rare interview she talks about her relationship with Clark. "When Jimmy got out of the car, he almost became a different person. He took time to make decisions. He would have trouble deciding where to eat. It became a bit of a joke, but good for me as we usually ended up dining at my favourite restaurants." Also in the issue, Simon Taylor has lunch with Allan McNish: "I didn`t really appreciate until later that the first diesel race victory was an historic moment. All that year, people would come up and say, `What d`you run this on? It can`t actually be diesel, what is it, really?`" Plus, Nigel Roebuck recalls his greatest moments at Silverstone over the years, Lord March previews the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Rob Widdows travels to Bahrain to look at Bernie Ecclestone`s GP collection.
